Daily details from the garden to bring you inspiration throughout the year
Under the leaf litter, the growing goes on –unconcerned with Christmas and tax returns, inclement weather and a lawn too muddy to make passage pleasant. We may find excuses to be elsewhere in December, but out in the garden there’s activity aplenty. With the sun setting at the far end of the garden I poke around among the old hellebore leaves (these could do with snipping off), eager to find signs of new life. This time last year these plants had already pushed several inches clear of the soil, which even I found unsettlingly previous – now, fat buds nestle at ground level, gathering strength and reminding me that, however frantic the coming few weeks, I can always escape into the garden and be assured of a quieter kind of activity.
A year of garden coaching
I’m very excited about my new venture – it’s a way for me to work with more people than I can physically get around to, helping them to make the very best of their gardens in a way that suits the life they lead. If you’d like to find out more, please click here to book for a January 2020 start.
