Daily details from the garden to bring you inspiration throughout the year
Imagine the shame of running out of twine on the job. I mean – it shouldn’t happen to a gardener, but last week, in the middle of training a rose against the garage wall, it did. In all fairness I knew there would be some of the client’s own in the shed, but I used the incident as a good excuse to return indoors and attempt to get the feeling back into my frozen fingers, and the splinters out of the same.
Fresh supplies have now arrived (twine, not fingers – all digits present and correct), along with warmer temperatures. Sufficient to spare the gardener future professional embarrassment.
