Day 160: Paeonia ‘Coral Charm’

Daily details from the garden to bring you inspiration throughout the year

Most of my paeonies were sulking last year. A couple of reluctant, albeit fabulous blooms from Sarah Bernhardt (pink), and a load of no shows from both Karl Rosenfield (red) and Shirley Temple (white). Leaving Coral Charm to carry the load, which she did admirably – not bad for a pretty apathetic plant purchase some years ago on the back of a larger plant order. I don’t really like coral, I’d whined. Fool. She’s out again, before the others, who are all promising a better show for 2021. But still she’ll steal all the notices.
